The hard reality stares not only at Pakistan, but us also. Instead of basics, we are on mindless game of upmanship stoked by arms merchants. Finally, we are the suckers!
Have we seen any war mongering between US & Canada or Australia & New Zealand? Even Europe is one now with the European Union. People can settle anywhere as one country!
China is hell-bend on using power to reduce tensions with Taiwan, Japan & Asean countries. They have no problems with Russia now. They are friends with Pakistan. Our neighbours are more with them. It is matter of time, they will reduce tensions with US as the latter is licking the wounds & extricating from losing propositions everywhere. Instead of getting some free oil, they are spending billion dollars evry other day in Iraq and losing lives too.
Instead of gloating over any predicament Pakistan faces, it is an opportune time to go after peace. Why lose out to others and get mired endlessly. Seize the initiative or at least try to create one! Now is the time!
The general public wants peace. Only the politicians use us all for their selfish ends. Just check with the people who visited Pakistan last time to see the ground realities. Passions can be fanned of course, but we just cannot live on enmity forever!
Just do it for the poor! A poor man looks only at feeding his family anywhere. Hate does not solve anything. We should be done with all these useless toys and in unison reject them. Give us food instead!
