RE:Tactical Voting
by Suresh Gowda on Apr 22, 2008 03:19 AM

Hi Pop Head,
Are you related to Yogendra Yadav who predicted Modi will lose. There are many pseduo secularists who have a knack of publishing their views as scholarship.
Generally kannadigas donot vote on caste basis except a community called christians who vote for a party called Congress headed by an Italian.
During 2004 election
BJP got majority of Upper Caste vote(Lingayaths, Brahmins, Bunts, Vaishyas). The percentage was around 60 percent.
BJP, Congress, JD(S) got equally gowda votes.
(Krishna was CM and Devegowda was ex PM. Still BJP got equal votes)
OBC votes also were equally distributed amongst all the three parties.
SC/ST votes congress got 5 points higher than BJP and JD(S) around 20 points lower than congress.
Muslim vote BJP got around 5 percent with rest divided.

BJP is much stronger amongst all communities and expected to get between absolute majority and 2/3rds majority even if you take perverted caste logic.
After congress gets defeated Barry Hinn can come and pray for the soul of congress. Inviting Barry Hinn to Bangalore was the starting point of congress troubles
