This is no challenge for India due to only one reason. Nepal is a poor country and it lacks all forms for social governance & welfare. Also since it's land locked by India, even the smallest of industries depend on India for transportation, raw materials. I remember what Rajiv Gandhi by blocking all food supplies to Nepal back in 89/90. Nepal was cripped by then. Gas Cylinders used to cost over Rs. 1000 then. Whichever Government comes into power in Nepal is bound to abide by Indian norms and work with India. Incidents will happen like hijacking and terrorism but for that India is responsible too. The nepalese border with China actually is rural tibet and is surrounded by mountains. China doesn't even bother to come there.
