Lok Paritran party seemingly comes across as a whiff of fresh air to parties like the BJP which have grabbed newspaper headlines for the wrong reasons:
a. Fanning Kannadiga-Tamil disunity b. Selling of tickets to the highest bidder, diregarding winnability of candidates c. Bellary mining mafia controlling the party. In fact, why the JD(S) transfer to BJP did not take place was because the JD(S) objected to this mafia accorded cabinet status
Nevertheless, Lok Paritran is expected to impact as a spoiler in this election, cutting into votes disgruntled with mainstream parties
