Bitter Truth
by Atul on Apr 17, 2008 10:09 AM

I know that it will sound bitter, Nearly a 1000 yr of foreign rule (Muslim and British)has made most Indian leaders spineless. When I say 'most' it actually means a majority who have a political voice. Then there are a huge number of poor and hungry silent common man who live for the sake of existence. These poor people are least bothered about national and international issues as they are just busy with their effort for every day survival.
Most people in large Indian cities won't even bother to stop if they see a person being murdered or a woman being molested, How can you expect these spineless 'rats' to react to Tibetean plight. There policy is to look the other way and hope that the problem will disappear. This is what is famously known as the 'ostrich syndrome'.
Only about 2-3% Indians have courage and I salute them becoz of those 2-3% people that India is surviving.
