It is not the first time that our career diplomats in their exuberance to show some positive results for their own personal advancement that they have bungled on such a serious matter with far reaching ramifications.The congress suffering from myopia and living from election to election is also adept at fooling the Nation to derive electoral gains.How else can this whole issue be justified? How can The President of United States give a patently false certification required under the Hyde Act is I ndia chose to violate its terms. Maybe they thought he could do what they have done for the last 60 years. We must dig our heels and get everything in writing unambiguously. Lets for once stand up and not get browbeaten by the US into submission.
