Ravi-ji, yours is the worst type of cynicism. The US can never make the kind of money selling arms to make up for what it has lost because of the mortgage crisis or the Iraq war. India is an example of how difficult it is to sell arms. India will spend its money buying arms largely from Russia and Israel, and some from the US. Large arms buyers such as the Saudis are already buying from the US and there is not much of a market left. If the US has to depend on arms sales as a result of contained, small-scale battles in KAshmir (small arms only) as you suggest the US must be really, really desperate which it is not! Come on!
