The great epic Ramayana as written by Sage Valmiki ends when Lord Ram returns back to Ayodhya after slaying Ravan in a war in Lanka.
After coronation of Ram and the Ram rajya starts, He never disowned his beloved wife Sita and never sent her to forests.
Valmiki ramayana ends with the start of Rama Rajya.
But how it happened ,whether it was great Poet Bhavabuthi (uttara ramacharita), I do not know , later stories were created depicting Ram as sending his wife Sita to forests.
Read Valmiki Ramanya ,its number of Slokas are fixed and has tremendous poetic values.
In the same way Valmiki describes Lord Ram as protesting against when Sita starts preparing to enter the circle of fire. It was Laxman who was ordered by Sita to light up the fire and then Ram jumps up to stop Sita but she refuses to listen and jumps in to fire only to come out untouched by fire.
Jambavan the adviser and Hanuman the desciple stands to watch Sita entering fire totally shocked ,according to Valmiki Ramayana which was original.
The later stories and versions depicted Ram as commanding Sita to enter the fire.
Ramayan's "sunderakand" (depiction of Hanuman entering Lanka) is a master piece in literature and has no equal in any literature anywhere in the world.
