Prof Taranath was paid Rs 10,000 in 1866..to write a Sanskrit dictionary with derogatory meanings of common words like Ashwameda yaga was interpreted as killing of the horse..he worte his dictionary to fit in Maxmuller translation of the Vedas. There was no necessity to write this as there already Sage Panini's Grammer and dictionary.
Sage Panini wrote in his grammar that the word Goghn should be interpreted as "One who recieves the Cow"..however Prof Taranath to Fit Mullers Schema of things deliberately interprets this as "Killer of the Cow" in strict violation if Sage Panini's words.
