Yes reservation is justified ..i will tell you why without any prejudice...please listen...my friend graduated from an engineering college Kumaon now in Uttarakhand (at that time it was in UP),please note Uttarakhand has 95% brahmins and thakurs and they are definitely socially backward,but you know my friend had to face four years of threat taunts even voilent advances by the local youth who had a point(i belive so)they said till these colleges are goverend by UP tech education they just cannt get admission as they can never score marks which an average guy could score from UP plains!reason very obvious they dont have the educational facility or competetive atmospehere in the hills hence no exposure, so they fought for independance and they created uttarakhand now they have their own uttarakhand tech board which evaluates the local students capabilities and allocates the selection criteria which is WAY WAY lower than UP tech education criteria, forget about IITs, but remember now Uttarakhand engineering students 95% are brahmins and thakurs and they are paasing out every year are they all mediocre students?So if you oppose reservation since it is going to degrade skills then technically hey should'nt be given jobs with their brotherns who have a higher cut off selection criteria at UP engineering colleges creating uttarakhand and then lowering your selection criteria to zero to enable local youth (forward caste) to become an engineer or doctor by profession is it justified
