The point that I was making was that caste has become irrelevant in today's context. Then why perpetuate this instead of addressing the real problem, that is upliftment of the people. Instead of mindless reservation, shouldn't there not be a well defined criteria to bring the benefit of affirmative action to the underpriviledged. What is the point in helping those who already have the means!
