The issue here is opposing benefits for those who "DO NOT DESERVE" them.
The OBC who is the beneficiary is basically IS the "OPPRESSOR" & "TYRANT" of the really backward people in our country. The put the blame on the Brahmins for all the shit they do.
So how does it improve the situation when you are rewarding the "OPPRESSOR" & "TYRANT" instead of punishing them for their misdeeds
