Interesting thought.Ban the caste system. Then how about caste certificate?? Should the government stop issuing the toilet tissue paper( that too used toilet tissue) called caste certificate??
See parents recognise the talent or lack of it in the child very quickly and want the child to do well at any cost.So they look for short cuts to success. These are
1.Buy the seat in management quota if they have money.
2.Get the seat under reservation.
3.Get the seat with influence.
4.Send them abroad and pay.
Most options mentioned above do not need caste identification superficially. In the sense the options payment seat does not depend on caste and sending them abroad also does not depend on caste. The option of reservation is entirely based on declaring your caste in front of magistrates etc.The caste system is perpetuated by the rest of the caste fellas and not by Brahmins.Brahmins never go and ask for issuance of caste certificate.Correct me if I am worng.Caste certificate is requested by the parents of the child with no talents/ intelligence and is unwilling to work hard.Brahmins and other general category people are well aware that they are doomed if they don't work hard or if there is no talent. Its preferable to have talent, intelligence and willingness to work hard. The people who take the toilet tissue route to professional course are the ones who lack talent, intelligence and are unwilling to work hard. The fault lies with politicians as much as with the parents who ask for
