Tell me 1 reason that children of SC/STs should get reservation if they are NO LONGER ECONOMICALLY backward? I have seen SC/ST kids selling books and supplies that they got FREE and buy booz with that money. Wouldn't that free books and supplies be better used had they gave it to a brahmin who is really poor? Nobody is against reservation, but it should be based on economic condition of the student and not his/her cast. Also, the help should be provided in the form of assistance to help them study and qualify to these schools. Handing a spaceship to monkey would not ddo any good.
