It does not apply to most institutes offering post graduate courses like IISc, IIMs, PG courses of IIT , AIIMS etc.
SC has clearly given the verdict that those who are children of Graduate degree holders, those whose parents earn more than Rs.2,50,000 per month, children of ex and current MP,MLA,MLC and those who are graduates themselves are exempted.
