How can I deny when our Prophet himself asked his followers to learn even from the pagan arab war prisoners?
He set a great example that secular science that deals with earthly issues are to be found every where and we should embrace it.
He traded their life for science - this happened 1400 years ago in the battle of Badr.

This is why islam was able to absorb science from india,china and greek and provided a platform for the flourishing of modern science.
George Sarton calls Islam the indispensable bridge which connected the world.
You can always see that my messeage never derided or under estimated the contribution from India.It is just that some times they make some unfounded claims and exaggerate a bit.
