When Adhi Shankaracharya said "I am the god" meaning everyone is god and god is in each and everything. It cud be construed as pantheism or monotheism. Vedas is full of polytheism beliefs. Buddha was an atheist who reinterprted vedas without a central authority power called god. There are lot of hindu sages who are held in veneration for their beliefs in atheism.
