States behave as though they are independent countries... There is no harmony or national interest or real public interest in proposing or opposing schemes involving more than one state. This is due to many decades of erosion of national politics and emergence of petty & narrow minded regional parties..Only congress & BJP must blame themselves for this degradation of political sanity.. India is heading for the rule of princely states.. only difference is that it was few heads eating away resouces before but now it will be thousands of party members..
