RE:Why only Hogenakkal?
by saigeetha jagannathan on Apr 08, 2008 01:55 PM

Mr. Parekh,
Its BJP that fuelled this already settled issue ahead of Karnataka's election for votes. No party is interested in solving any issue for that matter, whether its BJP or Congress. They gain only by fuelling people sentiments, creating rifts among different communities and erode the very basics of democracy. These issues should be left to concerned people like farmers, geologists and engineers(for ex,in Hogenakkal dispute) to solve the matter more scientifically than emotionally.
Another mode of functioning for these parties to keep people ignorant of the facts so that they react more emotionally rather than introspecting. I believe this to be modus operandi of politicians in creating enmity between KN and TN people.
