Initialy the cops have blundered by casually inferring it to be drowning case.Call it apathy or may be it is a coverup by the cops. But still upon probing futher they found the girl might have been drugged and murdered.
Yet the NCW has the audacity to tag it as a total police failure in Goa. Further they want posters and banners to be posted at Goa airport.Isnt the NCW just generalising this one incident and demonising the otherwise peaceful State.If Goa is so bad what do they have to say about law and order in UP, Bihar or elsewhere?
Goa is a small State of about 1.5 million people and the annual tourist inflow is about 2.2 millions.It is not possible for the cops to trail and spy on each and every one. Tourists should behave within limits. A 15 year old drunk on the Anjuna beach at wee hours may attract the same risk on the street of New York,Delhi or even Bihar.
I hope NCW shows the same seriousness to the similar situations faced by our ordinary citizens and not to publicity stunt by cat walking on the Goa beach for the cameras.
