dude, fyi..during british days there were no states called AP or TN...almost all of south india had Chennai(then Madras) as capital (that's why all southies are called Madrasi throughout India). When they divided the country in to states, it was decided that Chennai would stay in Tamil Nadu and instead Thiripathi would be given to Andra.
