Vedas do not say that hindus belong them. Hinduism does not practise upanishads and upanishads do not say hindus are their people. Does geeta say any word about hindu? Does any authenticated old ( olderthan 1000 year) historical documents talk about hinduism? NO. In tamizh thirukkural the best of all literature does not say about hindu. Then how can one claim that hinduism is the oldest.
