Before the arrival of Islam there, What is now southern Afghanistan- were the learning centers of the Indian sub-continet. People fro what is now India (both north and south) use to to and study there in there univesities. That was more than a 1000 years ago. Now the same people grow beards, some lives in caves, some sells their daughters to pay debts, some live like retards.
