in maharashtra , only regional parties rake up regional issues, in south even national parties jump into the fray, in fact national parties go overboard in regionalism to compete with regional parties.in karnataka there is no regional party, so BJP , Congress there are playing the same game that Raj was playing in maharashtra. regional parties are expected to be regional, thats not expected of national parties.
