Hanuman had no brothers, you are pssibly refferring to Sugriva and Bali's episode. Bali was a wretched monkey who had wrongfully driven out his brother Sugriva and had captured his wife, something considered heinous by Hindus. Rama justly killed this errant monkey and restored Dharma, even though Bali was powerful enough to have defeated Ravana and an alliance with him was far more rewarding for him.
