Democracy in India was killed by Sardra Patel
by RK on Sep 27, 2007 07:01 AM

I respect Patel more than any leader from Congress, but he was guilty of killing democracy in India right at the beginning. How?

When there was voting within congress for first prime minister, every one voted for Patel. Nehru just got one vote- his own vote. Gandhi didn't like that because he wanted his favorite(Nehru) to become first prime minister(God knows why). So he whispered something to Patel. After this Patel withdrew his nomination. I think Patel betrayed whole country. He did a fantastic job as a home minister. But we needed him as our first prime minister. IT WAS A BLUNDER FROM PATEL.

What we see in congress is not democracy. Congress leaders have lost self confidence thanks to Nehru and Indira. They need dynasty leader to stay in power. Rahul and Sonia are products of Congress style democracy.

I will pray to my Lord Krishna to send us lots of Arjuna to destroy all theses anti India elements. P.V Narasimha Rao was one of the best prime ministers we got from congress.
