The time of reckoning for the fate of Civil-Liberties in our neighbouring Pakistan is under
testing at the bar of the Bench presided over by Rana Bhagawandas, that promises to give a short verdict before it rises this evening..One would be a magician to hazard a guess what would this bring in the course of next few days in agitated environment of Pakistan .It is likely to keep some elements dissatisfied whether Commando hijacks Sadarat once again for next 5 yrs. or political workers whip up public agitation sufficiently to invite Martial Law .In any case , the rule of Law and Civil -Liberties are likely to be the losers.
EX-PMS Nevaz Sharif& Mottarma Benazir with her passionate libido for the cushy seat of PM and Jus.Iftikhar Chowdhury's Supreme-Court are confronted with extremely difficult challenge to briddle the Army estt. and traditional Nazims of Pakistani land-owning Politicians from blighting the hopes of few and far-between enlightened men and women of still a very mediebval feudal society. One hopes Some Miracle saves Pakistanis from this agonising denial of Liberties.D.
