This so cald made by rama must not be broken for the sake of good or bad. THe existence of rama and the war ,bridge etc cannot be proved rite or wrong.so the importance must be given to the people who think that rama and the bridge exist because , their belief is from ages back. though i believe that these are myths, but in a country like india its better to respect every relegion and give due importance.
