What is apparent is that the ancient and not so ancient populations have believed narrated events of divinities and Gods for centuries, that may or may not have existed, this due to sheer faith. It is ridiculous to deride and insult these beliefs. Did not the church, and this is written down so Christians cannot deny it, claim that the world did not revolve around the sun, did they not claim that Abraham and Sarah, Noah and others lived for centuries? Can you deny incest when the church claims that Adam and Eve are the entire human races%u2019 forefathers? Should we insult Jesus because he is said to have multiplied fish and bread? Was he a magician? It is easy to talk, insult and make fun, sceptical as we are in today's world. Did the Muslims not kill brothers/cousins to obtain power as leaders of the faith? Faith requires total concentration and utter devotion. Illiterate people who go on pilgrimage from North to South and vice versa are the most admirable of the human species. What miracle makes them tick? %u2013 Faith. Yet the biggest issue here has not been raised: can we afford to spend crores on useless chatter and unnecessary building when our compatriots die of starvation and privation daily in front of us? Isn't it the duty of the political parties to serve the people and not have the people serve them? The Ram temple need not be big nor ostentatious, unless of course it is a symbol of the political party and not raised to honour the spirit.
