Kalaignar was right, Ram worship is not traditional culture of Tamils. ONly a few Alwars and Vaishnavite sects worship Ram. Most Tamils diety is not Ram.
Besides Kulothunga CHola exiled the Saint Ramanuja for trying to bring in the Ram Culture.
Ram worship only took off after the Nayakers took control of Tamil Nadu.
Kalaignar was historically and socially right on that as well.
