NO country in the world has descended into the kind of shameful behaviour that indian showed during Kargil war: awarding the highest award of gallantry to the soldier who was alive, and knew nothing about it!!! If india was taking back the heights why would US or for that matter indian wanted the US pressure on Pakistan to leave! Does not make sense. Infact the slavish mentality of indians- hundreds of years of rule by foreigners- make them just desperate for any semblance of success. Hundreds of years of foreing rule cannot be obliterated by a so called victory at Kargil. The effects of that rule live deep in the indian psyche: look at Bollywood movies and their aping of the west, for God sake they even show pride in speaking the language of their forign rulers and masters.
