Hello, we have 1 billion people, and at least 300 million people are increasing their standard of living annually. Has Indian in India ever done any path-breaking research in last 1000 yeats? No. I think everyone is way too optimistic about Indians being able to solve energy problems with R&D! Yes, there will be small scale solutions like the one you mentioned. Nothing that will solve our energy problems.
