The N-Deal has more to do with containing China and less to do with energy security !! It will help us to be a Regional power, so nothing wrong in going for the deal.. Having USA on yr side is not bad after all. But the Govt must be carefull in ensuring the new found dosti with USA doesnot effect our relations with Russia, Brazil, South America, France, UK, Germany, etc.
