No hope from educated Indians
by Prabhanjan Butshikan on Sep 18, 2007 09:36 PM

A cursory reading of messages posted here tells the quality of comments & quality of peoples' thinking. These comments are made by educated Indians - specially the English educated Indians.

Commonsense tells that one should never under estimate his opponent. It also says that opponent deserves respect & a serious deal.

Two hundred years ago, when Lord Elphinston became Governor of Bombay, he spent lacs of Rupees in researching & documenting characteristics of various castes & creeds prevelant in India. He thought that he must seriously study the people that he wants to Rule. He never showed an arrogance that Indians who donot know of posts & telegraphs, rail & printing, so why to study the customs, culture, history & psychology of these natives?

Britishers also took their opponents seriously. They spoke in praise for those who fought with them. Under estimating opponents is a unique characters of Indians, specially the educated ones!

Disgustinng!

A military General who could survive for almost 8 years, absorbed the American pressure post 9/11 & could convert adversities into opportunities for his country cannot be a dude.

Its commonsense!
