RE:Existence of Ram Sethu
by Anurag Shrivastava on Sep 15, 2007 10:55 AM

India and Sri Lanka were connected by a fairly large land mass till 15000 years back when the sea levels were at least 3 meters lower in the last ice age. Ditto was the case between Alaska and Russia. Ice suddenly melted and these causeways went under water spanning a lot of legends around the existence of these bridges. In fact - in 70-90 years - Ram Sethu will be completely disappearing due to global warming.
