Vedic religion is religion of emancipation and not of fear
by vijayraghav on Oct 14, 2007 05:41 PM

Vedic religion is of emancipation and not of fear. Its scriptures are forward looking and meant to take humans from carnal to divine.
But if it gets misinterpreted, misused, abused.. what can the wise seers that formulated these scriptures do about it ?
If one follows the tenets and scriptures in their true intent and spirit, there will only be peace, harmony and prosperity.
Today a lot of hindus are laidback, cowardly, unhygienic and live in despicable conditions.. it is their choice..
if they interprete tenets to suit their convenience, it is their mistake.
If one looks forward to the lord with love, respect and gratitude, one would get the right path. If one continues in the path of sarcasm, provocation, confusion, expediency.. one would be miserable. and yes.. no half measures will do. As per me today India is in a bad shape and vedic religion is in bad shape. the responsiblity for this is with indians and not the other way round.
anyway..this is my last response in this particular blog. I hope and pray that good sense prevails, people look with respect towards our heroes Sri Rama and Sri Krishna (I firmly believe that they existed).. and had they not been there ramayana/bhagwad gita would not have been there; and without these ( the directions contained therein) we are just animals.
