This is a message to Indians scattered in every nook and cranny of this world.It pains me to see columns like this.Why can't people think beyond their own petty prejudices.In my experience most of the people who make a hue and cry about Hindu sentiments and their affinity to Ram etc are the first to run to US or UK at the first opportunity.Look at all the NRI Hindus in the US. They are more westernised than the westerners themselves.Why are you are so two-faced?
I think after all these years of dispute for once people are waking up to the fact that Ram has no historical proof.This is an issue which should have been discuss way back.Maybe then we wouldn't have had all this Hindu-Muslim violence and all these saffron parties would have just been cults. No one can argue about it.Where is the proof that Ram existed?
Christianity and Islam have solid proof.Both these religions also originated in Asia and not in Europe.
Or even going by faith as this columnist says, I'm sorry to say Ram is truly overrated.We all Ramayana ends with Ram suspecting his wife.So your point about him being a caring husband is moot.
And just to remind you.India is a secular country even though she harbors communal trash like you.So please stop writing stuff like this which is based on your faith but which to the rest of us is a myth.Let's not berate our motherland with such pettiness.
For once, just once let's all just think of ourselves as Indians and not Hindus, Muslims or Christians.
