The length of the so called "Ram sethu" is around 30km. To constuct the canal only 300 meters of this needs to be dredged. How constructing a canal like this going to hurt the Hindu sentiments? If we assume that it was constructed by Rama then why don't we try to restore the bridge by connecting India and Srilanka? If u don't want to demand for this then you should not object to the construction of Canal also.
