Who are Muslims? All Indian Muslims are essentially Converts. The Tughlaks, the Gengis Khans and their descendants from the Mughal era converted poor backward castes by force into Islam. Isnt it strange that our own people who are exactly like us in genetic make up, looks, lifestyles are against those who did not convert. A normal muslim guy in India will suddnely change his behaviour when he goes to middle east. He will grow a beard, offer namaz 5 times and abide strictly by rozas. I have seen this in Indian Muslims who come to Dubai/Muscat/Saudi/Qatar. The Arabs there not necessarily offer prayer 5 times a day or grows beard to show his muslim identity. I think Muslims in South Asia have an identity crisis. India accepted the division based on religious basis. The divided part established Islamic Republic, but India never established Hindu Republic, this inspite of the fact that it is the only hindu state after nepal. India gives full freedom to muslims here as much as hindus. The Problem is not with educated muslims, the muslim society has a big education and poverty problem and the other factor is the VOTE Bank problem. The Mullas have half knowledge of Quran and many young guys fall into their brainwashing ideas. Muslims will always be a part of India, there will always be tensions. The Muslim thinkers in India need to address root cause i.e. education for their people which will provide them economic opportunities thus bring down crimes conducted.
