Lord Rama a Caring husband?
by Ashwin Asani on Sep 27, 2007 02:10 AM

I was just wondering why the article says Lord Rama is a caring husband. Is there not an instance in Ramayana that Sita is asked/volunteers to walk through fire to prove her purity. If Lord Rama is an all knowing GOD, should he not stop such activity and his word should just suffice when he would say that his wife IS pure.
If I am to follow Lord Rama's example, am I also expected to make/allow my wife go through tests in front of other people?
