so also the khilji dynasty and the slave dynasty
later on the mughals gave a composite identity to india...
the marathas and the sikhs and the nizam were all used by the british to break the mughal empire and therefore there were 500 nationalities at the time of independence.
every village is different to the other yet we are all united as Indians. If it was not for the moghuls and british we would not have got our indian identity...
Also I wish that Pakistan should be there as it is one of the principal reasons that we are united. Otherwise there is racial / language / caste / religion tension everywhere. Every state wants to promote their regional language at all costs. so gujrathis like me have to learn marathi if we want to stay in Mumbai, or tamil if we want to stay in chennai or kannada in Bangalore.
British did not force us to forget our languauge or so the case with Moghuls but now in school a child is forced to learn english, hindi and the local languauge. why should it be necessary ?
