The news item publisshed here is one sided and the discussion going on is also lack of facts. Please let us have a scientific look of Ram sethu. As far as i know from the articles and research papers that there is millions tonnes of Thoronium present around the place which can be used in neuclar fuel, which will be cheaper and continious available as against USA agreement. The Tsunami is controlled by Ram sethu. The Species found around Ram sethu are unique and are not availabe anywhere in the world. which helps fishermen in the area and also ecological balance. last but not the least the canal proposed to be constructed will not help any big ships or revenue. This will only help small ships. These are the some of the reason why many scientiests, Environmentalists etc. are against breaking the Ram Sethu and construction of canal. I request rediff not give one sided news and publish all the facts about the sethu to enable readers to judge themselves.
