Anyone who reads the record or the more responsible media accounts (not just biased and hyped items in the popular press) knows that Tom Lantos was one of the principal authors of the legislation supporting the agreement, and that he worked hard to win Congressional backing for it. To accuse him now of being a hindrance or "less than honorable" is ignorant and unfair. Please do your homework next time!
