In the recent past when the Buddha statue was demolished by Taliban in the Bamian, there was protests from all over. Irrespective of the authentisity peoples' faith for thousands of years is being desstroyed here. Responsible parties like the Congress, Left parties, Trinamool, TDP, Janata Dal .... (to name a few) should have commented on this issue. Why the reluctance? At least the Government could take one of the six suggested alternative routs.
