Our level of sanity is tested when our discretion remains intact and does not get affected by the happenings of the global events. Surprised to see the degree of vehemence expressed by so many seemingly educated people in this blog. Do not build the canal if it damages the ecological balance but not for any other reason. The acceptability of this should not be a function of whether some one would have dared to touch if it Islamic or Christian. But two wrongs will not make one right! I can never understand this obduracy! How many temples, mosques, churches get inundated and washed away when we accept building a big dam. Why no one protests then?
