Do not belitte faith.
by MBotha on Sep 12, 2007 06:52 PM

Being a Muslim, I do understand the outrage of Hindus. As far beliefs are concerned I might be miles apart from Hindu brethren, but as a practicing believer i feel very sad at this sorry state of affairs of our country. Govt should be resolving problem and not be a problem.

There are some miscreant, devious minds on this board trying to inflame and settle personal messaging fights, which is very unfair.

For the muslim members I would ask not to abuse any religion and if others are doing it to you, it is their naivety and ignorance pleas be patient with them. If anyone abuses my faith I do get hurt.

Does not Allah command you:

"O believers, be you securers of justice, witness for God. Let not detestation for a people move you not to be equitable; be equitable - that is nearer to God-fearing." (5:8)

"You who believe, do not let one (set of) people make fun of another set."
"Do not defame one another."
"Do not insult by using nicknames."
"Do not backbite or speak ill of one another."
(49:11-12)

"There should be no coercion in the matter of faith." (2:256)
