RE:NEXT COLLAPSE WILL BE THE BEGUMPET FLYOVER!
by Kabeer on Sep 10, 2007 01:23 AM

True! Flyovers are a necessity of a modern urban townplanning-but build them where they are necessary and even spend twice the amount that you spent. At the time of the first flyovers on Begumpet-Secbad there were no traffic jams except a couple of signals. Now what are they doing? Widening the roads there as it flyovers didn't really help. Had they done it at the first place they could have saved the money and use it elsewhere. Even at that time there were huge traffic jams at Ameerpet Jn,Punjagutta Jn, Greenlands Jn and elsewhere. Flyovers should have been built over there first! I know why they were not built there-it means at that time relocating some shops which the Administration didn't want to antagonise. Begumper-Secbad was easy but a waste of money.

Regarding water, you need basic water to process to make it potable. Even Manjira water needs processing. There is no dearth of processing facilities but lack of basic water in H2O form. In spacecrafts urine of astronauts is reprocessed and made potable for astronauts. Even tank bund water can be processed to make it potable instead of wasting it there where it gets evaporated just in a couple of minutes at 42 celsius.
