Indian Judiciary!
by vinay thakur on Sep 07, 2007 02:15 PM

After independece when policy and constitution makers decided to have Judiciary seperate from the govt it was the best option left to us!Judiciary was working independently for 2-3decades when lust of power on the part of politicians started influencing Judiciary for their own benefits!Although it remained at a smaller scale and system as whole was not effected that badly. But in recent years judiciary has gone worse from bad!May be worst!
It is being affected by not only poltical leadership but by powerful individuals!Eevery indian who has visited any court in the country must have seen the working!
For small cases even you are made to pay bribe openly inside courtroom in presence of Honble.Magistrate!
But at the end of the day Judiciary is a mixed bunch of people like any other govt fuction!
But we have made a mockery of court on several occassions!Lingering cases, getting away with punishment is very real and very easy!
Even if lower court convicts you...you appeal to next level and stay out on bail for few more years! And then next level..Clearly infuential people can afford this.Poor people dont have enough money to challange even lower court verdicts and they accept their punishment!
It is high time that we need Judicial reforms! But no govt is taking action on that...because it is in the global benefit of every political party! What if Sonia is using courts!Opposition thinks they will also have their turn!
Who suffers most?Common people of the country!
