Calcutta (Kolkata) is a living example of the failure of Communism in India. It used to be the top city of India till the Communists took over. However, thanks to labour problems and strikes encouraged by the Communists, many businessmen and businesses moved to Bombay (Mumbai) which has now become India's premier city. In short, Calcutta's loss has been Bombay's gain - thanks to the Communists!
