What US does in Iraq or Vietnam is none of our bloody problem. We do not support it in those pursuits. (BTW, even Vietnam today is befriending US as it realises the imp of US to growth, progress& prosperity). If Bardhan follows this logic for friendship then Communists Russia too attacked Afghanistan & China is bullying around in Tibet and Taiwan. Why is he silent on this. Why should India befriend these 2 countries also?Why double standards??? And if this stupid logic is further expanded then I'm afraid,we may not have any friends left in this world.
Yes India has achieved all it has on its own (with some help from Russia). But if we need to progress fast we need to take technological help from US and others. Russian tech has become obsolete. Imagine the progress we will make if we integrate. We will move up higher, faster & surer. Why should we take 50 yrs to achieve that which can be achieved in 5 yrs (& even after 50 yrs we will still lag behind as the world will move forward by then).
Strength respects strength &China will respect & take India seriously if we have US and Japan to back us. Why Bardhan & commies r hell bent on making India play 2nd fiddle to China in asia.
